Friday i build my new C2D E6400 system I use ASUS P5B-E mainboard with bios Ver 1002(latest)

I install Speedfan 4.32 and it shows my CPU temp 44C idle.But it show core 1 temp as a 29C and core 0 as a 28C .I'm using ASUS silent squre CPU cooler .
Case cooling is good [ Exho 12cm x 2+ 3 Intake(2600RPM)]

So i want to know which temp show the correct CPU temp?( I mean Core 0 and 1 temp or CPU temp)

Brother i'm asking Which shown temp is the correct one?

I mean Speedfan show core1 & 0 temp as a 29/28C and it also show CPU temp as a 44C

Core1=29C
core0=28C
CPU= 44C

Which is correct.I'll try to add some screen shot..........

A lot of people like to brag about low temps. IMO, the more accurate c2d temps are core temps. Either one is fine.

Before o/c, my 6300 was like 27'c in bios. After o/c, it's 35'c in bios. In speedfan, core's 39'c idle & 46'c load.

A better temp monitor is Core Temp. Google it. The new one shows the core temps in notifi... area/ task bar.

Basically they all should be correct (to a degree, not exact).

You have 1 sensor on each die, and the other is between the 2 cores.

There is a guide that explains this way:

Some users also may not know that C2D's feature 3 sensors at 2 different temperatures; a single on-die Tcase sensor (between the cores), and dual Tjunction sensors (one within each core). Consequently, there is much confusion regarding specifications, calibration offsets and test methods, so results can be difficult to decipher and compare.

Here's a Guide thats good to look over:
