Hi.

I recently built my new dual core PC and I have set up my bios, etc.

I'm ready to install an OS.

What I'm wondering is - what is better for a dual core pc? XP Pro or XP Home and why?

Thanks,
Craig

Both. They both support it, so you won't have a problem.

Pro is more business oriented security-wise.

Home is just that, designed for home and not in a business.

The main thing you get with pro is going to be extra networking functionality. If you're not going to be connecting to any kind of corporate network or school network (sometimes schools will require pro) either directly or by VPN, you'll likely be ok with home.
