Topic is pretty much self-explanatory. I've been torrenting for so long that I've lost touch with what people use now for peer-to-peer. The last app I used was limewire... is that still the latest and greatest? Before limewire, I used napster way way back in the day, then imesh, kazaa, and a few others that I can't think of the name to.

I think limeware is still the way to go, tho I'm with you and personally am very skeptical about installing any of that software.

Shareza is not good at all, never find any sources
Limewire is good, no bundled advertising programs lots of content
Bearshare, if you can't find on limewire then it could well be on here (more unusual stuff) the problem it comes with some advertising software that effects internet explorer. if you use Mozilla then it wont affect you.

I use Limewire, Bit-torrent, Bearshare, in that order.

Shareaza is great... I've found everything I ever needed there. It finds plenty of sources for the most popular downloads out there. Connects to eDonkey 2000, Gnuetella 1 and 2 (which is exactly what Limewire connects to) and manages Bit Torrents.

When you first install it, you MUST remember to configure it to connect to the networks you want it to connect to always. I think it only connects to eDonkey by default.

im suprised this topic is allowed!

but its not like any of us download any ilegal copyright matiral

Limewire seems to work great for me, kazaa for some but not much, sharaza really sucks (i suppose it depends on what your after and it aint got what i want).

Torrent rules now for anything except music.
