question about memory

it says that the memory standered is DDR2 800 memory will this memory work with this motherboard or does it have to be DDR2 800. do you guys recoment 800 over 667?

It should work fine. Faster memory can always be run more slowly. A MB that can run memory at a certain speed can run it at slower speeds, too.

It will work. 800 and higher are considered overclockers RAM. If you don't plan on doing any heavy OCing then the 667 will be plenty fast. The only time I would consider 800 over 667 (if 800 wasn't needed) is if you could find it for the same price or less than the 667.

It does matter, but more to which processor you pick and the memory controller you use. AMD use the 800 speed for most CPUs and the C2D will depend on the front side bus speed ratio. So best pick your CPU and ask which speed will work best, at the price you want to spend.
