Ok, sort of extending a comment to another post in this forum about XP... All the computer sellers and gaming companies recomend XP Pro, however, this may be just to make more money, or make Home users feel less adequate (sort of like IDE vs SATA HDs) Well, would spending twice as much for pro on my homebuilt make a huge difference. The Dell I am no right now has Pro on it, so perhaps looking at it in those terms--coming form pro to home, would that make a noticable difference to me? I use my computer for work, and gaming. No graphic design or anything like that.

What advantages does Pro offer? Info would be swell!

Home lacks some of the networking/security that Pro does.

Don't worry about it, you can get a full version of Pro off ebay for @ $110, legit from hardware vendors. Home is a bit less. I've done this with my computer and all of my family and friends computers.

Just check the reputation of the sellers and you should be fine.
