HELP!!! Cannot Display Wallpapers

hi

I can't diplay any sort of wallpaper on Windows XP Professional. In the display properties window the desktop tab is there but it will not let me select a background. I have tried using Regedit.exe and gpedit.msc but to no avail.
Please help me as it is driving me MAD!!!!

Check the folder C:Windows-Web-Wallpaper to see if they installed. Should be at least 20 in there.

that didnt work. when i click on set as desktop background nothing happens.

You didn't answer my question. Are there wallpaper files in that folder?

With that answered, someone smarter than I, might figure out this dilemma for you. This may be a minor Registry corruption caused by something ????
