Can I download Windows 7 RC when it's released?

When Windows 7 RC is released on May 5th can I just download it for free or do I need a CD key or anything like that from a beta version of Windows 7? Vista 64bit isn't working for me too well at the moment with problems popping up every two weeks which is really starting to become a hassle. Any help would be appreciated

You can download it for free, but you will need to request a key from Microsoft.

You can get a key here and then just go back on May 5th to download RC1.
