Asus P5B + Pentium D805 + overclock to 3,0-3,2GHz with fsb just for fun
Asus m2n-e nf570Ultra + am2X2 3800+ + slightly overclock like the D805
the rest will be:
galaxy7300GT 128MB, maxtor160GB sata2 nec5170A, chieftech400W psu, 1GB ddr2-667noname, audigyLS

The AM2 for sure, it'd be much faster than the 805. The only good thing about the 805 setup is that you could upgrade it to a C2D later, but I wouldn't base a build around a future upgrade.

Yes, that mobo is good for a stable system. It's not as good of an overclocker as the other P5B's...ie. P5B-E. I did a similar thing... bought the ASRock Dual 775 VSTA and threw in a PD 915. My wife's getting me a C2D for my birthday(which is a week today), but postponing the gift 'til the Apr22 price-cuts take effect. GL

Get an X2 3600+ Brisbane, it'll overclock better than that 3800+. You may be able to get a 3GHz OC out of it if that's your goal
