Problem:
Can not boot pc up since installing the ram (even with just that board in any
slot).
Initial screen appears with COMPAQ and counts only til 128mb ok
?
Please help

What troubleshooting have you tried?:
Rebooting in different slots alone.

... Also just to add. I thought I needed a PC100 board, but from searching around and as advised by www.crucial.com they say PC133 is the correct one and replaces the pc133.
I dont know wherever or not to send this back to amazon and get a pc100, as this is what was and is now back in my pc.

With such an old computer, you are probably best off to buy a memory upgrade from a vendor who will guarantee that it will work in your system, or your money back.

Well I done the gaurantee search on Crucial & then bought it from Amazon as it was way cheaper.
Crucial say that this is the correct card.

Of course the problem with then not buying it from Crucial is that you can't use their tech support. :wink:
Besides referring you to my previous post, I'd also suggest contacting Compaq tech support.
