the one that uses the least sys resources, auto-updates, an internet solution that keeps you safe without knowing that you have it installed. right now i have mcafee viruscan 10 and firewall 7. i heard nod32 is pretty good what do u guys think?
got an old 486/Pentium1/2/K6-2, a >300MB hard drive and some spare network cards?
try www.ipcop.org. uses no system resources (coz it's in a seperate box), keeps you safe, fully configurable firewall, packet inspection, port forwarding, routing, whatever you want.
as for virus protection, besides switching to an OS that doesn't get hit by 99% of viruses (cough *nix, cough *bsd), no idea.
but for both, i'd advise against auto-updating stuff. it's just another open port to sneak stuff through.
