Hi i was wondering weather to get a new laptop and have a few questions about how operating systems work. If i bought a laptop like a toshiba saterlite m50 would i be able to install mac os x tiger and 'I life' onto it and then would it be compatable with the apple remote?

Thanks

MacOS will only run on Apple-branded computers. So forget about MacOS on a Toshiba laptop.

No, it won't... unless it's a "hacked" version. Apple's plan is to allow MacOS to only run on Mac computers. They may release a version that will run on all x86-based computers (they'd almost be stupid not to), but for now it will only run on Apple hardware.
