Windows Media Player gets really slow and choppy Tags: Dual Core Media Player Windows XP Last response: June 22, 2009 5:26 AM in Windows XP Share Blueboy February 2, 2006 2:00:47 AM After about 5-10 minutes of playing, Windows Media Player gets really slow and songs will start to skip... cpu usage jumps to 95%+. I have a AMD 3800+ dual core with 2gb of RAM. Other playback programs such as winamp run without issue. I've scanned for spyware and viruses, and have found nothing. Anyone experienced a similar problem and found a solution, or anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks for any help! blueboy More about : windows media player slow choppy dkrancer June 22, 2009 5:26:43 AM I am having the same issue with Windows Media Player 10 (Server 2003).
