my friend needs more ram to add to his dell and he wants to get 2 more gigs on top of his 512 that he has now.i tell him that adding all that wont make ur pc much faster just make it so it can multitask better. so lets say he added another 512 making it a gig would there be a massive differnece then lets say he added 2 gigs making it 2.5 gigs.

Increasing to 1GB or more from 512MB will certainly make it seem faster by speeding up Windows (since it won't have to swap to disk nearly as much).
