Yeah I know. Ive seen it on Gecube's site from someone else who posted it. But it did not hit E-tailers until this week I think. Anyways, I think it looks like a beast! :)

new AGP king. Can't seem to find mem clocks for it. Core is 650MHz (675 overdrive). I wonder if they kept 1.8GHz XT mem speeds.

That's definitely the new AGP King, but why won't the platform just DIE!?

Reply to Heyyou27

cause there are still a lot of people using agp and has a pretty big market for it :P

haha... the AGP cards are so expensive though... guess if you have a good CPU though, its less expensive then changing platforms.

Looks like it comes with a 2 x 4-pin to 6-pin power cable also, which is convenient.

I wish VLB was still an option.
I would buy a q6700 4gig ram and 2mb VLB Video card (rage?).

 Still is a beast of an AGP card though.

Ya as in Vesa Local Bus. I have a few Video cards that used that bus.

And I also found a place where I can buy windows 1.0 brand new. I think im going to dig out my old 386 and build me a machine with all new OS, new Video card, maybe I shall buy some 4/8mb SIMM chips.

Now I need a C2D -> Intel 386 adapter. Know of any?

Reply to CompTIA_Rep

To most enthusiast, yes, but to vast majority of users all over the world, their PC's only have AGP and PCI...some can't even tell you what the 'e' in PCIe stands for :?

Reply to aBg_rOnGak

8O 8O 8O Nope, don't know any.I'm afraid the adapter will only survive svrl minutes after you try OCing the Core 2

would you like to try 256k simms first?

Reply to blunc

Huh? Or am i thinking of DIMMs?

Reply to CompTIA_Rep

256k simms came before the 1meg and 4meg etc, but you had to specify parity (9chip) or nonparity (8chip) depending on if you had a Mac or IBM clone.

That's a sad reality.

£140ish for an x1950xt? That's cheaper than the PCI-E versions are in the UK!

UK prices are quite messed up I might say.
