I had asked about downloading Internet E to replace what I was told (by
Earthlink support after hours of trying other solutions) was a damaged
version, since I could read pdf files in Adobe 6.0 when I was using Netscape
but not when using IE. Perhaps I should have described what I saw on my
screen. When trying to open a pdf document while in IE, I got a message at
the bottom saying Done, but a blank screen--except for a very small square
(maybe an eighth of an inch) in the upper left of the screen. Inside that
square was a very very small red square, a blue triangle and a blue circle.

Uninstall all versions of Adobe or Acrobat Reader and re-install from the
Adobe Web site.
