I am considering purchasing this mobo, but it is not Vista "Certified".
Am I going to encounter difficulties when I install the Vista OS, or should it be simple if I make a clean OS install? What does a "Certified" Vista OS entail from the mobo manufacturer vs one that isn't?

I have the asus m2n sli deluxe, which i believe is a lower end version of the one you're planning on buying and it didn't come "vista ready" out of the box, but i just updated the bios a couple of days ago and the new version seemed to take care of that. although i don't use vista myself. There were some vista options in the bios that weren't there before.

Check the asus website under bios updates for the m2n32 ws pro. It says that the latest version (1.04.12) is vista compatible.
