In my continuing saga, I have deinstalled Adobe Reader 6; I went to download
Adobe R7, and got to the point of clicking the Download tab when a popup box
appeared asking if I wanted to Run or Save the program. Since I hadn't yet
downloaded it, I was stopped in my tracks. Which do I want?

You want to save it now, preferably somewhere where you find it later. When
it has finished downloading, you want to run it from where you saved it...

Jerry,
In addition to Thomas' comments, I suggest that you set up a folder under
the My Documents folder called My Downloads. That way when you do a backup
of My Documents, they are included in the backup. Happieness is having a
recent backup...
