Hey guys.
Here's my question:

Is it possible to make your ADSL-modem "connect" to other places than your ISP?
If it's possible, what do I have to do?

Thanks in advance...

If I recall the ADSL connection is made on that line. So you can not move it.

I used to work for a Telco/ISP.

DSL is a signal added to the phone line, and must have a specified ISP (whether it's your telco, or some other company. we worked with a lot of 3rd party ISP's who didn't sell the telco stuff).

It's basically hard-coded in the DSL line programming. It can't be changed without an order to your Telco, and having an alternate ISP that you have an account with to connect to.

The short version: nope.

You can of course "connect" to websites and internet services through your DSL connection, but everyone online knows that :-P

Hmm, are there other connection-types that it's possible to redirect?

the question still doesn't make any sense, cuz ADSL doesn't work any other way. if you're thinking peer to peer, you still need a connection to an ISP, because you need a transmission of your data to another location.
