problems installing WINE

when i want to install wine 0.9.7 i have this error:
Running configure...

configure: creating cache config.cache
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH

Configure failed, aborting install.

What i must do?
I am using fedora 4.0....thanks

Did you install the gcc compiler? It looks like you didn't. It probably will solve this problem. Even if it doesn't it is a handy thing to have.

You need gcc and all the development tools associated with it.

In other words you're better off installing everything at least on your development box.

WINE is not the way to accomplish what you want however.

Use SSH/SCP/SFTP or worst case VSFTPd.
