But I know precisely **** all about mobos, which is somewhat hampering my ability to build a new rig. As you may have guessed, I've never OC'd a thing [other than playing around with the coolbits tweak, which doesn't really count] but would like the option to do so in future if I was so inclined. However, that's not really my first priority. That would be finding a mobo that can take an e6600, 8800gtx, 2 gigs of ddr2 800, and perhaps a sound card if I'm feeling particularly frisky, with little hassle and no smoke/fire. I've done a fair amount of research, but there are so many conflicting reviews that I'm completely bloody lost, so any advice given would be a godsend.

Thanks much.

Im in the same boat. Im looking at the 975x but I want to make sure I wount need to upgrade(mobo) next year when I want to upgrade my CPU.

I know the 975x supports quad core but what about 1333FSB?
