Language of my Pc

i have a french copy of windows xp with service pack two, my friend got it for me but unfortunatly its in french, what i need to knwo is can i formate my computer using this cd and have my operating system in english? i really need help here cuz my computer is full of viruses and needs to be reformated. thx
