I just built myself a new system. And it will boot to the BIOS (yay!)
But when i put the vista DVD into the drive It wont load

Some things you will need to know:

-I have put the CD-ROM drive to the top of the priority
-the bios is Phoenix BIOS 6.0
-it wont boot Ubuntu CD either
-The drive is NEC Super-Multi (AD-7170A)
-The mobo is ECS nForce 570 SLIT-A v5.1 NVIDIA Socket 775 ATX

Any help is apresheated!

Thanks!

part of your problem is that you have an ECS motherboard. First question is that only optical drive that you have. Question #2 Does it say hit any key to boot from cd?

It the drive set to master or first and on the end of the cable?

you have to tell the pc to boot cd first by going to BIOS set CD Rom to boot first.

Reply to rickpcnerd

Make sure you set the BIOS to boot from the DVD drive.

I solved it. Crazywheels was right the problem was i had an ECS mobo.
The IDE header I pluged the cable into was broken so i put it into the secondary one!
