Asus P5A AMD K6 2/500

I installed a Maxtor 20 GB HD and reformated it. I am trying to intall Windows 98 se and it starts installing everything goes well but when computer restarts it goes to dos pramt always. It does't continue to setup.
Can anyone help me? 8O

Did you take the install cd out of your optical drive?
