So, if Intel does not have a 64bit laptop proc out yet and hasn't really announced when they will be coming out with one, and AMD has announced the release of the Turion 64 X2 coming out in May, what do you say to the theory that Intel asked Microsoft not to release Vista until the can get their own Intel Core Duo 64 (or whatever they will call it) to market? Think about it, if MS came out with Vista before Intel could get their act together that means it would force Intel only manufacturers (i.e. Dell, etc.) to offer AMD products in their line-up or be out of the 64bit laptop market. Maybe this is just crazy talk, but it's not like Intel hasn't stooped so low before.

What do you think?

Crazy talk.

The corporate edition is still on time. It's the home edition that was delayed, probably because they're cutting the corporate edition down to form the Home edition.

Never search for conspiracy when mere incompetence will explain.

My guess is that
Turion X2 yields may be a little low;
The notebook makers don't want to be stuck with single-core Turion stock while selling dual-core Turions for the same price.

cheers,
