I am using a D-Link DGL-4300 router with cable modem and recently tried to add security features (WAP2) to it.
I connected to the default IP and made the changes. I was then instructed to 'reboot' the router and it hanged. I let it continue to try for 30 mins but no dice.

I then unplugged the router to reset it but it's stuck in reboot mode (WAN light blinks then all ports blink then nothing then it starts again).
I have pushed the manual reset, reset my cable modem and still the router is stuck.

When I try to connect to a wireless network, the default network is now gone.
I went into windows network config and the default network icon has a red X next to it. :(

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get the default network back up on the list?

Usually, you have to hold this in for a time (30 secs is typical). Merely pushing it does nothing.

If you have done this, and you still are in this mode, you may have a fried router.

When it told you to reboot, how did you do that? Most have a "reboot" button on the management screen; it is not a hard reboot.

It was button on the management screen.

I'll try the 30 second manual reboot.

Thanks!
