does a 7950 GX2 draw more power then a 8800GTS 640MB? I might upgrade my video om my XPS 410 and it supports a 7950 GX2

Its a little more complicated than that. I was just talking about upgrading the GPU on a XPS410 yesterday. Its not the wattage, its the amperage.

From what I remember from the Extreme Power Calculator, the GTS and the GX2 use pretty much the same amount of power. I would look at the sticker at the side of the PSU to find the amperage ratings.

Tell us the Amperage ratings, and then we can find out whether your PSU can work.

The psu IS only 375watts though, I wouldnt install a GX2, a GTS, or even a 7900GS. Be very careful when upgrading your GPU, 2 months ago I killed my XPS Gen 3 that way :(
