Every time I reboot my computer (Compaq Deskpro PIII), my quick launch bar
disappears. I have to right click on the taskbar, click Properties and click
"Show Quick Launch". I click Apply and OK. It stays up until I reboot again
and I have to go through the process all over again. Any suggestions?

One possibility

Quick Launch settings are not saved; Search Assistant Toolbar in Taskbar

Thanks, I tried your suggestion but it didn't help. Everything seems right in
the registry according to the instructions at winxptutor.com

Sorry about previous message I goofed.
Try this:
Click on Start, right click on properties, select Taskbar, if no check in
Show Quick Launch box, put check in there, Click on Apply and then OK.

Perhaps a tweak from Kelly's site to save settings on exit might assist then.
