A Xeon 7040 is a member of the Xeon MP chip for use in 4P servers. It is a 90 nm chip based off the Pentium D 800 series. The 7040 is a socket 604 chip running at 3.00 GHz with 2x2 MB L2 cache on a 667 MHz FSB and it has a TDP of 165 W.
