My old computer has windows 2000 on it and the user has been deleted. I canot login in any way. I can not login under guest because that account is not activated. I can not login under Administrator either. I only have to get in so that I can copy some documents onto a jump drive. Would it be possible to connect the hard drive onto my new computer and access the documents from the OS on my new computer? My new computer has windows xp. I just need to get the documents out of the old one and then i can format the old drive.

P.S. By the way if u r wondering how the main user got deleted, it was a friend who tried to get the password off while it was under his possesion.

No, but the admin account will still be there as it can not be deleted. However this requires you to remember the password you set for it when you installed windows(or changed it to later).
