Wrong.

If the poster was asking for suggestions on what browser to use, it would have been a very good and helpful post. However he wasn't asking about alternative rowsers, he was asking about a problem with Internet Explorer.

When someone is having trouble with a specific program, suggesting that they use some other program is flippant and sort of insulting. If they wanted to use some other program, they would be asking about that alternative.

If you don't have a clue how to fix the problem they are having with the program they've chosen to use, don't pipe in with a suggestion to use some other program. It's neither cute nor clever, and certainly not helpful.

Tabs?

That's so yesterday.

IE 7 has tabs. Really... you'll need to come up with better reasons than tabs to suggest alternative browsers.
