software snapshot

can anybody reccomend any software that will let me install all the programs i need on one machine,then save a copy to say an external hard drive.then when needed install on another machine with different hardware specs.

i saw symantec ghost solution suite but didnt know if this would work

Ghost will work but you must have the same components in the other system as you do on the computer that you took the image off of. If not then you will have problems with BSOD's, drivers and such. Not to mention unless you have the appropriate license its illegal.
