A neighbor of mine has a Mitsubishi 65413 using a Scientific Atlanta
3250 cable box. He has it connected via component cables to the main
DTV input and has the regular cable line running to the cable input.
When watching a non-hdtv show using the component cables, he tries to
expand the picture to get rid of the side bars and it cuts off about 2
inches from each side of the picture in addition to the bars.
Expanding on the cable input, he doesn't have this problem. Is this a
problem with the TV or cable box? Can it be fixed so he doesn't have
to continuously go back and forth between tv inputs?
I have a Mits 65615 and don't experience any cut off problems using
1080 expand mode on non-HD shows.
