Hi Guys,

I have 2 gig of OCZ Platinum 3200 in my A8N-SLi Premium in dual channel config. I was wondering if I put 2 x 512 DDR (266) in the other 2 slots (not duel channel) it would effect the perfomance of the other two?

A side question, whats a good temp for a Athlon 64 4200 x2. If I overclock it to 2.6 ghz, is 60 or so good under load?

Thanks in advance.

Windows XP will not properly allocate more than 2 GB of system memory. If you mix RAM speeds the system will default all the RAM to run to the slowest RAM module you use (266 mhz. in your case). Unless you just absolutely need 2.5 GB's and cannot make do with 2 GB of PC3200 running at 400 mhz. in dual channel, you should stay with the 2 GB matched kit. HTH.
