First let me say I wish I found this forum BEFORE I built my new computer. Probably would have saved me some headaches lol , but everything is running good, but I probably would have been able to do better if I would have known and come here first for advice on the build but as they say no use crying over spilled milk :lol: . Actually I think this new one is almost a month old but I figured I'd share and see where people think I should have done something different etc...

I went from a home built Athlon XP 2400/ati x800 pro agp based computer

Case = Thermaltake Armor Series VA8003BWS Black Full Tower Case w/ 25CM Fan
Motherboard = Asus P5N32-E Sli PLUS
CPU = Intel E6600 OC'd to 2.8, 7 x 400-- will take higher as I get more comfotable with the whole OC'ing deal.
CPU HS = ZALMAN 9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Ram = G.Skill 2 x 1Gb – 1.85v 5x5x5x15 Yeah I know it’s not the best
HardDrive 1 = Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM
HardDrive 2 = Western Digital Caviar RE WD3200YS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
PSU = OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W Power Supply 100 - 240 V – Retail
DVD/CD Witer = SAMSUNG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM Write, LightScribe Technology Black SATA Model SH-S183L - OEM
Video Card = PNY VCG8800XXPB GeForce 8800GTX 768MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail, I never bought a GFX card from PNY but they had it miss marked at a local computer store for 449.99 instead of 549.99 so I grabbed one. I actually went to grab a couple more to sell on ebay a few days later but they had fixed the price and had a sign up explaining the previous pricing was wrong. Atleast I got one for cheaper.
After market GPU cooler = Thermalright HR-03 Plus cooler for 8800gtx with a 92mm fan, really REALLY brought the temps down and even though it looks heavy it weighs less than the stock cooler.
OS = Vista Ultimate.

So far one game , Supreme Commander, already one of my favorite games.

I think that’s everything, besides the normal little side junk, AS5,cable ties new tool kit etc…

NIIICE...I wish i was running that machine. Im still on an OEM Sony VAIO with a P4
Thanks.

Everything on my last computer was failing, constant lock ups, or just instantly shutting off,graphics distorting etc... I couldn't take it anymore. I would have held onto that system for another year if I could have put up with it.

I wanted to get a 22" lcd but I ran out of money :x
