windows media player iswsues

I have my computer hooked up to my wide screen tv. I set the reselution to 1280 720. you know HD 720. when I play a movie that I downloaded it has boarders in the video but it also has boarders on the sides that isnt "in" the video. I cant find out how to strech the picture or somthing. so basicly I want to know how to strech the picture in windows media player, or anything else that I can get doesnt really matter.

Have you tried right-clicking in the video area and selecting "fullscreen"?
