Well this has some promise to be a fairly revolutionary product. Not really because its such a technological marvel but the fact that you can actually use those dang 1x slots that have been basically useless (besides some companies using it for MoBo sound). I assume the PCI-X 1x bus is probably the equivalent to a basic PCI bus so the small size is just the result of newer tech.
With only 3 PCI slots because i have PCI-X 16x & 1x and AGP on my board I really wanted to use that lil 1x slot, and hopefully this is my answer.
