It'd work fine, though you may want to consider a different board. The only reason to get that DFI RD600 is for Crossfire. It's slower and more expensive than other boards. Take a look at the Gigabyte 965P DS3, MSI P6N, Asus P5N-E/P5B Deluxe, for a start.

Also I don't know the price of that video card but Asus cards tend to be overpriced. It's almost certain that the equivalent card from EVGA or XFX would be significantly cheaper.

edit: oh and the million dollar question, will you be overclocking?

no i wouldnt bother overclocking to be honest. that video card is meant to be absolutley brilliant so i have heard a mate has it and he plays oblivion to setting and everything and it runs without a glitch. or so he says :)

If you don't plan on using crossfire (which you cant with the 8800gts) you should definately change your mother board. A nvidia 680i or 650i is what you should use if you plan to go SLI with your 8800gts, or you can get a Gigabyte DS3 is you dont plan on using SLI.

And this system will run pretty much every game out there now at max settings.

If you plan to SLI your 8800, spend the extra money to get the 8800GTS 640MB. With the 320MB, you will hit video memory bottlenecks in SLI (from what I've read).
