If i have an unactivated version of windows 7 Home Premium would I just be able to purchase a Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro upgrade disc and upgrade. Also if i could would it be "Genuine". If i need to activate Home to upgrade is there any cheap ways i could do this without paying $99 to do so?

Thanks in advance!!!!

If you have a genuine home premium installed, you will have an option to do an in place upgrade to professional . You will have to pay(don't know how much) for an upgrade key.

Is there some feature of professional that you need? Most home users don't need professional.

If you are a student with a .edu e-mail address, you can get ultimate for $30 or so.
