Currently have my settings as follows:

Memory set to 250
HT set to X4
Multiplier to X10
cpu/ddr ration to 2/1.66

I have OCZ performance memory and have had them as high as 225mhz but under the above settings run at 209mhz.

Problem is when I try and go higher my HT speeds go beyond the 1.1ghz mark which from what I have read is a no no, I should try and keep it between 900mhz and 1100mhz is that correct?

Would like to push at least 2.8 ghz which I know it is capable of. I had it running stable at 2.7ghz but the HT speeds were a bit higher than the 1.1ghz mark. Vcore was at 1.4 from 1.35 to be stable at 2.7ghz.

Have a tower cooler and even at 2.7 under load didn't go above 40C.

What MB are you using....many do not get up as high as a DFI.

Anyhow for RAM settings look at:
http://www.diy-street.com/forum/index.php

Most people have no problem running 1:1 T1 @ 2.7-2.8 on stock volts as long as the PSU is OK.
That Optron 170 is very popular.

Also you DID lower the LTD-HT (forgot what it is called) ratio to 4X right?
If not then your system will crash.

You want the HT speed 'close' to 1000 but never higher than 10%.
Less is NOT really makeing the system run slower.

Set it up as FSB/HT Mhz times your ratio setting (IE: 200Mhz * 5X = 1000 or 260Mhz * 4X = 1040).

Also don't forget to LOCK the PCIE @ stock speed!

Motherboard is a gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra-9 running the F8 bios.

I set HT to 4x yes.

Hmmm, have to look at it again tonight, I think I know what I have to change.

And thanks for pointing out to lock the PCIE to stock speed.
