Stupid XP ! Device Manager - Other Devices.

I have a PCI Device in the Other devices tree of Device Manager.

I have tired updating this device and pointing it too my mobo CD, but it doesn't find what it's looking for.

I do not have a clue what the device is.

IS THERE A SIMPLE WAY TO DETERMINE WHAT THE DEVICE IS - SO THAT I CAN FIND THE DRIVERS FOR IT ?

Like looking for needle in a hay stack at the moment :|

Take a look at all the components installed on your system. nic, onboard sound, 1394/firewire, modems, printers, scanners, etc.
See if you can find a compnenet that you have that isnt listed in device manager.

Hope this helps cause not much else I can do.
