I am using Remote Desktop to connect to my laptop over my LAN at home. It connects at first and everything works fine for about 5 minutes. Then it shows the connection problem icon and eventually disconnects. When I return to my laptop and login I notice that the wireless is disconnected. I have to login and let the wireless reconnect before I am able to login remotely again (for 5 more minutes). I have an Intel wireless adapter and use Intel's PRO wireless software to connect. I use WPA2 security and I'm running Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0. I don't have any idea what the problem is related to, so if you need more info, just ask. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey there, I was wondering if you had your issue resolved as I am encountering the same exact problem with my vaio notebook/intel wireless wifi.
Thanks in advance.Mario

Sorry, no one has replied and I have been unable to come up with a solution. :(

well, my only solution so far is to let windows manage the wifi and not the intel's software in order to be able to use the remote desktop connection.
it's definately something wrong with that sofware and I am not sure if it's one of the settings or it's just crappy itself.

Check your power settings. Wireless cards are usually turned off after a period of time... especially if the notebook is unplugged and sitting idle.
