Suggest a MOBO for my project

First let me state my goals:
- TO have a fast all around system for gaming. Not to over spend on products of featrues i will not use or need, and to get a quality system

I am looking to overclock a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz to 3.0 ish on air. Using a antec true power 600w PSU, i looking for a stabile motherboard. I will be using 2-8800GTS with a physics card later down the road (prob just running one card for now), so would prefer a 680i or 680LT nvidia MB. I am unsure which chipset to use and what brand of motherboard to go with. Ive been out of the hardware scene for a while now and not sure which to go with. I will be using Corsair, OCZ, or Gskill memory (also unsure what series to go with for decent overclocking)

any suggestions on what Motherboard would work best for what i need?

Isn't better buy one 8800GTX and then the second one 8800GTX too? I know, it is more money, but today, one 8800GTX is better if you want to buy the second one G80 to SLI.. I think, better is buy now 8800GTX and later second then buy one 8800GTS and after one week second..

The motherboard? Think about something like Asus Striker.. Or any other Asus's in this range..

if that's your plan then those are your chipset choices - except that Asus also have a hybrid chipset that does the same things on the ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS
