Howdy all!

What is the top end of video cards out now, that DO NOT require the power connector direct from the power supply?

My guess would be the 7600GT. One of these would enable a 4 pin molex from any PSU to be converted to a PCI E power adapter. Saw you in concert back in the '70's.

I meant, which card uses NO power supply hook up at all...

What does enabling a 4 prong have to do with this? I understand that adaptor is workable for those without a 6, my P/S has 2 6 adaptors actually.

Thanks, I hope you enjoyed our show ;)

Radeon and Nvidia models was what I was hoping to read about...

I am currently using a 7600GS heatsink no fan version...

My previous card was a 6600 TD with fan.

I tried a 8800 GTS 320 meg and had some weirdness that I couldn't explain other than issues with the card, I have an Antec True Power 480 P/S, that should be fine for that card, I returned it.

Symtops

I have since swapped out case and motherboard and no issues at the moment but no really FAST video card....

I also figured other people might want to know....

I will
