Dual Channel Better?

would 1gig DDR2800 be better then 2x512mb DDR2 800 Dual Channel? Or the otherway around?

Dual channel is better, but real application, dual and single channel don't have much difference. But as for you if you're thinking into buying ram then get the 1Gb stick and then you can upgrade that if you want by buying another stick to make 2x1Gb. That is for larger applications and gaming. At the end 2x1Gb is better than 4x512Mb. Dual channel is better and larger size/quantity is better as well.
