All of a sudden I am unable to connect my I-700 to the web. I heard
something about Verizon possibly no longer allowing people to connect
using their normal talk-time minutes. Anyone know anything about this?
The message says that a modem could not be found.

That is correct, you are no longer able to use your minutes to connect, you
are going to need a DATA plan, wether is a Broadband or 144 kbps connection
speed ($59.99 or $44.99 accordingly) also under no circumstance get the pay
as you go plan, You'll end up with a $400.00 bill like I did! for the 27 MB
of data used, thanks to the WDTS Rep that send me a replacement i700 and
put it on that plan in order for the phone to connect to the internet.

In addition to what Chance Hopkins wrote I tried to connect using the
Automatic-A and Home and did not have any success. I would imagine that my
market area is one of the first ones to allow only DATA communication
through a ''plan" for PDA devices.

Thanks for the clarification. I misread it. I completely missed the part
about "talk-time minutes".
