Compaq Quick Restore

This is a shot in the dark, but I figured I should ask and hope for the best.

I'm a little lacking in memory, so I think this one has hit the bit bucket on me....


I use to do alot of Compaq service and know there is a way to force the quick restore to go in on a new hard drive with a keystroke combination while its starting up, but for the life of me can't remember the what the keystroke combination is.

Does anyone know what it is or what it use to be 5 years ago before the HP merger? (System is about that old)

I would think there there would be a command to list the key strokes and functions

Even without the restore partition? The only way I knew of to get around that was to order the full restore CDs from Compaq. The Quickrestore required the restore partition to be there, as I don't believe it has everything required on the CD. The full restore set was usually 2 CDs.
