Though i have to question whether this PSU is worth £200 ex vat when it retails in the US for $199... ?? Is there a reason you are interested in this particular model? I would have to say the copper finish does look rather cool though.

What exactly are you looking for? Something to power a dual/quad core cpu? 1 or 2 graphics cards and any idea which models?

Based on only the specs for the Silencer 750, i would take look at the following options too.

1. For pure brute performance and efficiency - 850W Enermax EGA850EWL Galaxy ; Price at scan.co.uk : £141.99
2. For something a little quieter for those more inclined to accoustics the Xilence Power Quiet 800W PSU ; Price at QuietPC.com : £100.00 is a pretty good bet. Keeps noise down to a reasonable 19.5dBA.

Just a quick couple of thoughts, however if there may well be something else more suitable for you.

naah i was just wondering what the price would be, cause i heard they are very impressive power supplies using single rail +12V at 60 amps.

They are really overpriced, one tested recently sounded like a leaf blower.

They are great PSU's in general but they are NOT worth the money.

Plenty of quality PSU manufacturers out there. Don't believe the hype.

Check out the Silverstone range at Scan, half the price of the PC P and C and no real drop off in performance.

thermaltake also have some nice ones, they are very quiet too, i have a toughpower and it is silent, thats what 14cm fans do for computing
