Toolbar missing from bottom of IE

Hi

Usually above the toolbar at the bottom of the screen there is a part of the internet explorer window that shows you progress of loading a site using a sort of horizontal line that fills with green.
This part of the browser windows gone.

How do i get it back?

go to menu bar in IE and click View-> status Bar
