I am planning to get the Intel Core 2 Duo Conroe E6600 and im having trouble picking memory and motherboard to go with it.
What I want to do is overclock the CPU as much as possible (I think they go just past 3GHz?) and have the RAM to be able to keep up with it (1:1 ratio).
The motherboard also needs to support:
Either crossfire or sli (2x 16-lane PCI-e slots)
1 free PCI slot that isnt blocked when using SLI/crossfire
The price of the memory and motherboard isnt a problem but if possible I would like to find a top-of-the-range and a mid-range motherboard/memory for overclocking to choose from.
I have looked at various reviews of chipsets and specific motherboards but im getting a bit lost for choice as ive not been keeping up to date over the last year.
