don't ask, needless to say it was completely my fault

system setup is as follows
hda1 - windows2k
hdb1 - fat16 for doin dos crap when i really have to (yes i still do find the need)
hdb2 - fat32 for sharing files between linux and w2k
hdc - cdrom
sda1&2 linux swap and main partition

anyhow grub was on hda1, for simplicity sake - i ended up doing a *Duh* and restoring hda's MBR

i just wanna reinstall grub and be happy again anyhow.. heh
i have a knoppix dsl CD - can't recall to well but iirc there a command to type in to reinstall grub - i just can't remember

thanks in advance for the help
